By accessing, creating an account with, or using Studenty, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use Studenty.
Studenty is a marketplace platform that enables users to connect with one another to buy and sell items.
Studenty does not process, facilitate, hold, transfer, or guarantee payments or transactions between buyers and sellers for marketplace items. All purchases, payments, exchanges, meetings, and other arrangements related to marketplace items are conducted directly between users. Users are solely responsible for deciding whether, when, where, and how to complete a transaction.
Payments made directly to Studenty for platform features, including purchases of additional listing packages, are processed through Stripe or another payment processor identified at checkout. These payments are separate from transactions between marketplace buyers and sellers.
Studenty does not receive, hold, transfer, or facilitate funds exchanged between users for marketplace items.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Studenty.
Studenty is intended primarily for college and university students and members of participating campus communities.
By creating an account or using Studenty, you represent and confirm that you are at least 18 years old and meet the eligibility requirements applicable to your use of the platform.
Studenty does not independently verify every user's age. However, Studenty reserves the right to request reasonable information or take appropriate action when necessary to verify eligibility, protect users, comply with applicable law, or enforce these Terms.
If Studenty becomes aware that a user does not meet the applicable eligibility requirements, we may restrict, suspend, or terminate the account.
You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating and maintaining your account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials and for activity conducted through your account.
You must promptly notify Studenty through the Help or Contact section of the app if you believe your account has been accessed or used without authorization.
You may not impersonate another person, create an account using false or misleading information, or use another person's account without permission.
Sellers are responsible for providing accurate descriptions, photos, prices, conditions, and other relevant information about items they list.
Sellers must have the legal right to sell any item they list on Studenty.
Prices must be established in good faith, and listings may not contain false, misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive information.
Users receive three free listings upon account creation. After those free listings have been used, users may purchase additional listing packages.
Available listing packages and their current prices will be displayed in the app before purchase.
Each successfully published listing uses one available listing credit.
Purchases of listing packages are non-refundable, including for unused listing credits, except where a refund is required by applicable law or otherwise expressly stated at the time of purchase.
The availability, pricing, quantity, or structure of listing packages may change from time to time. The applicable price and number of listing credits will be displayed before a user completes a purchase.
Studenty may remove or restrict listings that violate these Terms, our policies, or applicable law.
All marketplace transactions are arranged and completed directly between buyers and sellers.
Studenty does not guarantee the availability, authenticity, legality, quality, condition, accuracy, safety, or suitability of any item listed on the platform.
Buyers are encouraged to inspect items before completing a transaction.
Users are responsible for determining their preferred method of payment for marketplace transactions and for taking appropriate precautions when exchanging money or property.
When meeting another user, users are encouraged to choose safe, public, and familiar locations and exercise reasonable judgment regarding their personal safety.
Studenty does not supervise or participate in meetings or transactions between users.
Users may not use Studenty to list, offer, request, promote, purchase, or sell items or services that are illegal or prohibited by applicable law or Studenty policies.

Studenty may remove content or listings, restrict platform features, suspend accounts, or terminate accounts when we reasonably believe these Terms, our policies, applicable law, or the rights or safety of others have been violated.
You retain ownership of content you submit to Studenty, including listing photos, descriptions, profile information, and other materials you create or upload.
You represent that you have the necessary rights and permissions to upload and use the content you submit and that your content does not violate the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of another person or entity.
By submitting content to Studenty, you grant Studenty a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, process, and otherwise use that content as reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, and provide the Studenty platform.
This license does not transfer ownership of your content to Studenty.
Studenty may remove or restrict access to content that violates these Terms, our policies, or applicable law.
Studenty may allow users to take photographs using their device camera or select photographs from their device for use in marketplace listings.
Access to your device's camera or photos is subject to the permissions you choose to grant through your device.
You are responsible for ensuring that photographs and other images you upload are appropriate, relate to the item being listed, and do not violate another person's privacy, intellectual property, or other legal rights.

Studenty may offer student verification, including verification through an eligible .edu email address.
Verification indicates only that the applicable verification process was successfully completed. Verification does not constitute an endorsement of a user and does not guarantee a user's identity, age, trustworthiness, conduct, safety, or ability to complete a transaction.
Users should continue to exercise appropriate judgment and safety precautions when interacting or transacting with verified or unverified users.
Studenty may restrict, suspend, or terminate an account, remove listings or content, or limit access to platform features when we reasonably believe that a user has violated these Terms, applicable law, platform policies, or safety requirements, or when action is reasonably necessary to protect Studenty, its users, or others.
Where appropriate and reasonably practicable, we may provide notice regarding an account restriction or termination.
Users may stop using Studenty at any time.
You may request deletion of your account through your account settings.
Following an account deletion request, certain account information may be retained for up to 180 days where reasonably necessary for security, preserving eligible unused listing credits, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, backup processes, enforcement, or legal compliance.
Certain records, including payment, transaction, support, security, or legally required records, may be retained for longer where reasonably necessary or required by applicable law.

Studenty may use or integrate third-party services, including Stripe for processing payments made to Studenty for listing packages.
Third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Studenty is not responsible for the independent privacy, security, or business practices of third-party services that Studenty does not control.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Studenty is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind.
Studenty does not control or guarantee the identity, conduct, reliability, safety, legality, accuracy, quality, or condition of users, listings, or marketplace items.
Studenty does not guarantee that an item will sell, that a buyer will complete a purchase, that a seller will complete a sale, or that any user will perform as expected.
Studenty is not a party to marketplace transactions between users.
Users are responsible for exercising appropriate judgment and taking reasonable precautions when communicating, meeting, purchasing, selling, or otherwise interacting with other users.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Studenty and its owners, operators, affiliates, employees, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from or relating to your use of Studenty or interactions or transactions with other users.
Studenty is not responsible for losses, injuries, property damage, disputes, fraud, or other harm arising from transactions, communications, or meetings between users, except to the extent that liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or exclude liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.
Your use of Studenty is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information and describes applicable privacy choices and rights.
We may modify, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features of Studenty from time to time.
This may include changes to marketplace features, campus availability, listing options, listing packages, prices, or other platform functionality.
Where required by applicable law, we will provide appropriate notice of material changes.
We may update these Terms from time to time.
If we make material changes, we may provide notice through Studenty or by other appropriate means. Updated Terms will become effective on the date identified in the revised Terms, subject to applicable law.
If you do not agree to revised Terms, you should discontinue use of Studenty.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or protections that cannot legally be waived.
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by applicable law.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional policies or terms presented within Studenty, constitute the agreement between you and Studenty concerning your use of the platform, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
